How the idea came about: an institution for cocktail connoisseurs
In a small alley directly behind the Regensburg Dorm you will find the cozy Bar Barock. Barock Bar was created in 2015 from the former Blue Monkey Room. The former institution for cocktail connoisseurs continues to be a place for the high art of cocktails in the cathedral city. In September of 2018, Thomas Schackmann took over the bar. Thanks to his years of professional experience as a restaurant specialist and international bartender in London and Stockholm, he and his team have the necessary know-how to create liquid highlights for their guests.
Gift idea: experiencing new tastes
Experience exclusive cocktail courses and tastings in the Danube metropolis. Gin, rum, and whiskey tastings are offered at Barock Bar. In two full hours for tastings and three hours for cocktail courses, the bartenders share knowledge about the history and production of the chosen spirit. The participants receive special background knowledge – for example, about the different types of gin and the special constellation between gin and tonic water.
Vouchers for these courses are a tasteful gift idea for anyone who wants to learn something new about the wide world of alcohol. Prices start at 50 euros per person and are available directly at the bar or online at http://barock-bar.com/. For example, for a tasting of gin you pay 50 euros, for a tasting of rum you pay 75 euros and for a tasting of whiskey you pay 79 euros.
In addition, the bar can be rented exclusively for personal or company celebrations.

On Casual Sundays, the creative gentlemen and ladies behind the bar present classics and new appealing creations from the world of drinks. For this special, the door of Barock Bar is open to every guest free of charge and without advance reservation – just like on the other opening days.
